GEOLOGY FIELD COURSES FOR INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS
Two courses are offered to international students during the northern hemisphere summer break.
This course involves 29 days of tuition and provides education in the techniques and practice of field geology. It is based on a wide range of sedimentary, igeneous and metamorphic rock systems located in the hinterland to James Cook University representing classic outback terrains.

James Cook University is located adjacent to the central sector of the Great Barrier Reef. This course involves 18 days of tuition and provides and introduction to sedimentary dynamics of the north Queensland continental shelf and coast. It is largely run from offshore islands and is supported by the School research vessel.
